So thought I would now...

I'm 4 weeks into my University course of Journalism and Media Studies and to be fair its pretty boring :P But I'm thinking I'm there to learn not to have fun lol

I went to Damnation festival in Leeds on Saturday night..... One of the best nights Ive ever had to be fair! Rocked out a little too much to Destruction, who I have to admit were the best band there :D

Anathema were pretty good, though the sound wasnt as good as last time I saw them.... but I managed to get a pic with Vinny the singer -




Also randomly managed to chat to Hamish from My Dying Bride, he seemed a pretty cool guy :D -







After drinking what seemed like hundreds of pints and Jagers we all managed to get back to the hotel in one piece ...

Anyhooo I was in pain yesterday all over my body, high temp, headache, sickness........ Guess who got Swine Flu :(

Sat in college, bored and waiting for my TCA to start... meh!!!

Its sooo sunny! Beer and blasting a little music when I get home me thinks :D

thamiel_kain is off to Whitby Goth Weekend  tomorrow morning, but I decided to stay in horrid Hull. I'm still probably going to the October WGW but this April I'm just too skint (too busy spending money on gigs).

Speaking of gigs.... I'm off to Manchester on Saturday with siguror  to see a band ....  damn cant remember their name but they sound kinda like Pantera! then back home for a Guitar Hero session with much drinking :D

Then next week were off to see Saxon and Doro in Sheffield. (How awesome are Saxon!!)


Week or so after that its Deathfest, I will be meeting a couple of friends there, and staying for the afterparty thing (if I'm not already pissed and windmilled out by then)

June is Death Angel, Keep of Kalessin and Kataklysm :D


Also looking forward to Bloodstock. Was a little gutted to hear that Europe were playing at first... but I think watching them play "The Final Countdown" will be quite epic!! Anyone else doing Bloodstock this year??


Oooh I only have a few weeks left in College now.... what a tough year..... not a good feeling being back in education!! I will be so happy to never see a Business Studies book ever again :D

 

Been thinking back of things that have happened in the past, maybe I'm getting soft in my old age I dunno :S (still trying to keep the ice queen thing going on though)...... a lot has happened and I'm just so fed up worrying, stressing and holding grudges. Life's just too short for all this crap!

On a lighter note for fear of sounding like a right emo! Went to see Iron Maiden Flight 666 at the Cinema the other day..... holy shit, was so cool to see Maiden on a huge screen..... and the show was sold out, we managed to get the last 2 tickets.... which is lucky as I'd have kicked and screamed to see it!

Kinda neglected Live Journal for a while so thought I would update...

Had a couple of models round including Gypsy Rhodes and Lady Jezebel... also my friend siguror  popped round for a shoot so ive been more on the other side of the lense recently. 

Went to see Kamelot a few weeks ago with siguror ... and holy crap..... they kicked ass! they sound exactly how the do on cd... fuckin awesome live.... then this bloke who thought he was dimebag Darrell (yeah theres only one and always will be) tried to start a pit.... .at a Kamelot gig....... erm... ok..... he must have thought it was Slayer or something hehe

Looking forward to a summer of metal gigs and festivals...... :D Off to Deathfest in May also..... I'm expecting a sore neck in the morning.. and if its not sore... then I obviously didnt rock out hard enough ;)

My birthday in a couple of weeks... cant believe I'm nearly 27 already ..... meh.....

Hmmm what to update on.....

Not a lot has been going on as of late. Been soooooo skint that we have been staying in quite a lot. Plus I have been snowed under with essays.... Why do they seem to give them you all at once. I currently have around 8 essays to get through. Meh!!

So instead of doing essays I decided after much nagging from my friends to borrow the Twilight book. I decided long ago that I didnt want to watch the film as the trailer for it featured a Paramore song... which totally put me off... plus it looked kinda kiddish to me, and as I'm a huge Vampire movie/book buff... it didnt seem too exciting.

So anyways...... first chapter........ WOW!!!! *Runs to town in the rain... straight to WH Smiths to buy the 4 books - Twilight, Eclipse, New Moon and Breaking Dawn. Read the 4 books in a matter of a week... I couldnt put them down... to TK's annoyance... haha I didnt spend much time with him as I was too involved with them damn books!! So I got so into the set of books I thought I'd bite my lip and watch the movie... how awesome is it!!!! I cant wait for it to come out on dvd in a few weeks yay!

So its fair to say I am now a Robert Pattinson fan... and officially obsessed with Twilight!!! hehe!!!

Roll on November when New Moon is out in the Cinema woohoo!!!

Went with Paul (Siguror) to see Dimmu Borgir and Lamb of god with Five Finger Death Punch and Unearth in Manchester Academy.... Holy shit!! what a crazy gig.... it was nice and chilled out when Dimmu Borgir was playing (apart from my screaming) then as soon as Lamb of God came on the whole room (which is a big fuckin room ) turned into one huge mosh/slam/circle pit/ wall of death......there was nowhere to run away from it so it was rude not to join in hehehe...

Even had a quick look around Afflecks palace... such a shame that place isnt what it used to be :S

Went to Rockworld on Friday night and met up with awesome friends for TK's birthday :) had such a laugh and it was great to see everyone. Cannot remember too much from that night... though I do remember rocking out in the old school rock room most of the night lol oh and being in Manchester Picadilly station at around 5am freezing... Think we finally got home around 10am lol!

Went straight to bed.... then me, TK, Paul, Jayne and Andy Dendy went to Morrisons for a fry up.. .which was gross..... then back home got dressed then went to Code lol So its fair to say sleep hasnt been much of an option this weekend;)

Managed to lose my lip barbel thingy on the dance floor while windmilling lol so spent ages looking for that.... then i lost my cloak room key for my coat....so spent ages describing my coat...... which wasnt in the cloak room :S ....got fed up and walked out to get a taxi... only to realise I took my Maiden hoody out instead of my coat...grrr lol aw well least I got it back hehehe!

Still a little pissed now, sore and soooo tired lol!

Oooh I have just had my lip peirced.......after all that winging I did ... It didnt hurt a bit.. but the guy who did it put it in to a slant...but you cant really tell... but now I'm thinking of having a really personal part peirced hmmm.....

TK's birthday night out on Friday...I cant wait... Andy Dendy and Jayne WK babe are over too woo!! I am expecting a sore neck in the morning hehehe!

And next Friday...Off to see Dimmu Borgir with Lamb of God supporting them....woo!

The weekend after we are going to see Alestorm.. yay to Pirate metal!

Oooh went to see a band called Godsized in York with my friend Paul.. bloody awesome! and think everyone should check them out...

Off to a gig in York next Saturday, a band called Mantra! allround great band with some awesome vocals! They are heavily influenced by Black Label Society and Pantera (double yay) after hearing a lot of crap bands its nice to hear some talent.

Phills birthday soon woohoo!!! more people are coming to Rockworld now, I cant wait, we are going to be so rat arsed....cant get better than an allnighter!!!   Sore necks in the morning but I'm sure it will be worth it :)

Off to Manchester again in Feb to see Alestorm... Pirate Metal!!!! yay!!!!!!! We are all gonna be dressed up as pirates....as you do of course ;)

Thinking a lot about festivals already...it's poosibly going to be Bloodstock again... as I'm definately wanting to see Amon Amarth and Apocalyptica plus I'm starting to get into Satyricon.

Oh jeez the Rasmus are back....just seen a clip for their new track...hmmm lol

Anyhow, its thamiel_kain  's birthday soon so a bunch of us are going to The Grand Central Pub & Jilly's Rockworld in Manchester....well because Hull is pure and utter shite :s So if anyone os around Manchester on that night feel free to pop in :) It's an allnighter so were starting to drink at around 6pm then Jilly's closes around 7am :)

Also were possibly off to Leeds to celebrate my birthday early april....gowd il be 27.......:s ...hellish!

Managed to pull off a half decent Christmas dinner.... and I dont think I have ever seen so much alcohol in our house...not that I'm complaining, festive season and all that shizz. Anyhow, the dinner was lovely, and I've been bloated ever since!!!. What is it about Christmas that makes you want to eat and eat hehe! I cannot stop eating chocs, crisps and sugary stuffs. We ended up playing Guitar Hero 4 till silly o clock.....fun :):)

JANUARY DIET!

Today Jill marieceleste</lj> made a  spot on pie  (the mushrooms in the pie were infused with Jagermeifer) with creamy peppercorn sauce and so yet again I'm stuffed. Were now watching Zombie Strippers...as you do.....check it out if you have not seen it yet........sooo cheesy but ace!! Jenna Jameson as a decaying Zombie woohoo ! lol

Have the lovely roze_thorn</lj> arriving today, then marie_celeste</lj> and naturescorpse</lj> and his missus Liz arriving tomorrow then Paul (Siguror) arriving crimbo day.
So im cooking for 7 this year...never cooked for that many before and I'm afraid of ballsing it up to be honest lol! Ive allocated jobs for people already... thamiel_kain</lj> Onion peeler, Siguror - gravy stirrer, and me thinks i will see who wants to be potato peeler as quite frankly....theres loads hehe!

Already opened pressies off the inlaws....thamiel_kain</lj> 's Dad n mam bought me some perfume, choccies, watch, necklace, makeup, pjs and socks and his mam n partner got us loads of chocs and money....spoilt much? :):)

Cannot wait for new year also. My mum has been really ill as of late so were going to see her on the 29th, so off to Wales we go :)

Started thinking of Festivals (never stop thinking about them actually) Were unsure on which to go for. Was supposed to be wacken but the lineup isnt brill at the moment... Bloodstock or Hellfest seem to be the winners..... though were going to hang tight for now and see who else gets added. Hint Hint... cmon Nightwish get your finger out of your ass and book a fest...pwetty pwease hehe or at least Northern Kings......... or...Motley Crue....Black Label Society!!!!!! ok getting a bit ahead of myself on that one...but I can always dream :s
